Was that your presence I felt today?
In that sadly falling autumn leaf?
Was that your kiss in the warmth of the midday sun ?
Was that your anger in the evening chill?
Was that your face I saw in the fleeting drifting clouds?
You see me now abandoned in my lonely boat
Forlorn and drifting in the vastness of the ocean.
Whisper something soothing through the morning fog
For everywhere I look is horizons obscured.
And I am enfeebled by your loss
And desperately need your steady guidance
Help me dissipate these veils of desperation
And give me hope so I can see the shore once more
Grant me the vision to see that shore
And the strength to sail with the wind of your grace
Show me the way home
