Annie Fright, Annie Fright
Why do you walk alone at night?
Do you see the dark dark paths,
and follow the darkest one at last?
Annie Fright, Annie Fright
Why do you walk alone at night?
Did the hag outstep your door,
did the dogs outstrip the poor?
Annie Fright, Annie Fright
Why do you walk alone at night?
Does the man, in the moon,
talk of many things to you?
Annie Fright, Annie Fright
Why do you walk alone at night?
Annie Fright walks no more,
a dead man's note upon her door
