christmas loving

snow settles on the lawn outside

lights flicker on my tree

i can see a whole row of houses

illuminated so brilliantly .

children knocking door to door

sing happy christmas songs

and the girl i have been longing for

is in my arms where she belongs .

this will be a special christmas

i feel it in my heart

it will be full of awe and wonder

and santa claus will play his part.

for he will deliver a tiny box

on christmas day

containing a ring of diamonds

inscribed with the words i want to say .

always and forever

the simple message will read

and i pray for a loving answer

when i fall to my knee's.

i'll whisper .. oh how i love you

you are my guiding light

the air that i am breathing

my hearts true delight.

so my darling will you marry me

and share all the love i have to give

and i promise i'll make you happy

for as long as we shall live .
