lost in the wilderness
for so many years
the torture of loneliness
no one to dry his tears .
.
his sanity depending
upon his beautiful memories
as he climbs through the mountains
the valley's and tree's.
.
escaping lifes pressures
the pain in his mind
he had fled to nowhere
himself for to find .
.
at one with nature
fed from the land
he remembers his true love
and the life they had planned .
.
by campfire smiling
in this place so serene
he pictures her beauty
tonight he will dreamĀ .
.
butterflies ascending
in his heart he knows
forever love follows him
wherever he goes .
.
all of his belongings
packed in his canoe
he paddles the river
as his heart says he must do .
.
he's heading home now
to the girl he adores
praying she'll forgive him
when he steps through the door .
.
he'll kiss her gently
no more will he roam
as he holds her in his arms
she whispers '' welcome home ''
