sharing with you

i sit on the clifftop amongst the flowers

my notepad rests on my knee

i thought i would pass a couple of hours

by writing to my girl across the sea .

as i seek the words i hope to find

my letter simply has to start

thoughts of you flow through my mind

i love you with all of my heart .

i feel your arms around me

my eyes close as your lips touch mine

with the waves breaking far below me

what a wonderful way to pass my time .

sun has set and the moon begins to rise

i gaze in awe at the beautiful north star

i beg this wonderful diamond in the sky

to carry my love to wherever you are .

i am hoping you can picture the scene

as you do all you have to do

for this is part of the wonderful dream

that i now share with you .
