Fireflies in a glass jar
Twist and release their pallid glow
Trying to light up the horrible situation
That surrounds them
No future
Loss of Mother Nature
Of God herself
and yet they berate me
Cast my plans with uncertainty
Poor defensless creatures
Never stood a chance
I could crush them in my hands
But i love to watch them dance
They are lucky I can realize what others naught
We shouldn't cage other things inside
When it is truly us who are caught.
