He's the boy with the permanent smile
He's one for the dreamers
But he's not a believer
And she's the girl that steals his shine
She makes him crazy
Just lock me up baby

Said you can't see the forest
For the trees
You're blinded by the limelight
And the autumn leaves

Well they looked pretty as they fell down
Teach me to be them
I just can't see them
And the colors made my eyes roll back
The pupil's deforming
A student conforming

Said I'll market your angst like
It's the new trend
Say for God's sake you're
Just giving in
And I'll be the needle
If you let me win
Said I'll be the needle
If I can get under your skin
