we lie cheek to cheek
when you turned to me
"and said if killing time was this easy"
"why didn't anyone stop him before?"
and then i said
"you're the present"
"so baby wrap yourself up tight because"
"the shadows here find safety in the walls"
so just cover up
and throw a blanket on distress
and when you're locked behind closed doors and you're thirsty for
the taste of my blood
you can have a drink
and into the lake upon the matress we will sink
for days on end until
there's nothing left to say
then you can rot with me
"and i promise to never forget"
you said as i kissed your neck
but i know you someday will...
