Escape from myself if only for a moment
Long enough to write these words to you
It's been awhile and you wouldn't know it
but the sky has never been
a brighter shade of blue
I feel that i'll always be imperfect
Uncleanliness cannot be close too
My plunge into dispair becomes eternal
So i gave it up and got
my feet on the move
Hiding from my past I am a shadow
The red becomes a mural for the wall
Take fingerprints and teeth and then you're shallowed
But even the biggest
oak tree must fall
However there is room upstairs to sleep on
And you can lay your head down for a bit
You can stay forever if you want to
The pillow like a headstone
You won't rest your head on it
