My chest is pounding out a melody
In reds and blues and
My heart is trying to escape from me
It's beating on the walls
Of my chest cavity
So hard and it's only
When you get too near to me
And I feel like
You've become too dear to me
Your smile flickers once and
I fall apart like leprosy
And I falter and flounder
Can't you see what you do to me?
I'm wasting away so peacefully
Falling apart so wonderously
Twisting, contorting apathetically
Just because you looked at me
