And yet, from abandonment's tier

Must a smile's germ, a crimson bead, fall and

Figure in charming fragility ever branching threads;

A ballet through the lambent water's peace;

Drawn forth, by the refulgent harmony of a zephyr's kiss,

That which, ever elusive, eludes utterance,

The vernal hymn born of winter's choir,

The poignant tranquillity of but a moment,

Set amidst a tempestuous sea
