Maybe in another time period
maybe in a life in the Stone Ages
or maybe with those killing off wise women?
Maybe then your neck felt the sword cut through
or maybe you yourself put it to use
wonder how many you may have killed
how many drops of sacredness you spilled
Victim or killer, blood is blood
a life carrier
a life-begetter
very expensive
each drop a fortune in itself

Hmm .. I know they used blood for fuel in an old Doctor Who series with Tom Baker.
Because all blood is unique, it would make a difficult liquid for monetary value unless it was purely symbolic.
Reminds me a bit of, "Dark Dream" a nightmare I had where there were demons herding people into evil churches and there was the religion of the "curve."
Definitely a horror story. Maybe you'll check it out ?
