Love poem; on the road to reach the loved one's heart

On the road

I am a wayfarer

There is the only way to get to

My shelter --

never given the direction

I take a rest

Leaning against the wall you've built

Wall reflexes your quiet footprints

Looks clear but

Doesn't let me look into your image

Wild flowers sob,

Pine trees shudder with cold

Eyes wander

Legs drift in the wind

Once you cried at me,

"Come here!"

Now I'm shunted aside

Weeping behind your back

You're sodden with regret

Pretending to be cruel

Truth knocks your heart

Secret tears my soul

I'm on the road

Kindling the twilight sky

You listen to my steps

Until I reach the door--

Inside of you

I am a wayfarer

There is the only way to get to

Your shelter --

Where I belong
