Meant to be a song... It goes along with the picture I paired with the poem. View table of contents...

She wakes up every morning
Thinking about this one guy
That will not exit her mind.
And though many have told her
That the pain will fade with time,
It’s something she can’t realize.
It has been so long since she’s
Gone a day without his
Me-mo-ry.
“I guess it’s all just history”, she says.
“I guess we’re history.”

She falls asleep each night
And sees his face
Thinking about her,
But it’s the wrong “her”.
She drew his picture,
And he was so blue.
Blue, just like her.

And how she wishes
That she could travel back in time
To erase everything that once was.
At the same time,
She clings onto the memories
Of the things that happened before.
All the good times,
All those bad things that still make her cry,
Because she still cries…
What she’d give to hold him tightly,
To cling onto him tightly like before.

She falls asleep each night
And sees his face
Thinking about her,
But it’s the wrong “her”.
She drew his picture,
And he was so blue.
Blue, just like her.

Doomed for an eternity
Of dreaming of the one she still loves.
“How long will this go on?
Does God not know it’s been too long?”
And she cries, knowing she will never move on.

Never move on.

Love and life can be cruel like that. You cant erase love from the heart and mind. BUT - dont feel alone.

It's nothing to worry about. I just wrote this at the time when I felt the stongest emotions. That's really the only way to write, I think.
