The crystal rush is over
Was it everything you hoped for?
Did all your dreams come true,
Though you could always wish for much more?
Did each icicle form delicately
Before your very eyes?
Did snowflakes kiss your lips
As they fell from the broken sky?
And as the sunlight hit your face,
Did your ivory skin glow?
All the pale effects of loneliness,
O, did they finally go?
Did you get to hear “I love you”,
Do you know how much we care?
And though I wished for many things,
What I’d do to be right there?
Make no mistake, faraway friend,
I’ve yet to forget your story.
(I hope you still pray for me.)
