I went through a hard break-up a few months ago, and wrote a poem about it. I hope this guy eventually reads this and gets it. It's actually more of a song, but oh well. Enjoy.

I slammed the door, and everything I knew just shattered like broken glass

I should've known that nothing I'd ever say would make this mater to you

But I know that you don't care, and I know you never will

You're breaking my limits with you

I didn't have to think it through

Overreactions are so overrated; I really thought you already knew

I'm taking it slow now, and my heart's locked away

Everything's changed no matter what you say

Go tell your foolish friends that I'm blue over you

But don't come crying to me... because I'm through.

Those happy songs we'd listen to, singing along

Joking with each other, well that was when we got along

But now you know that I don't care, and you know I never will

(Repeat Chorus)

How could you not see that I cared for you

When did you ever doubt me

Do you have your regrets, as I have mine

It's too late for you to see the truth

Don't ever worry about me again

I promise you'll know if I ever rethink

But don't hold your breath for my changing of mind

Because I'm through.
