A Lover is her but my lover I prefer

A lover is a liar

But mine stands higher

And I often get tired

From playing with fire

A lover is blind

But mine sees with her eyes combined

As she tries to read her very own mind

It's not like I mind

A lover knows

But mine foreknows

And she knows me down to my toes

No use in 'I suppose'

A lover is genuine

But mine is religion

She silently threatens

And allows no room for question

A lover is in the eyes of the beholder

But mine just stands on my shoulder

And weighs of a boulder

My pain I must smolder

Yet a lover is loved

And she is beloved

I love my love

And above all

That is enough
