torn and tattered,
the inside like the out.
she sits in her dusty room,
with her dusty heart
and her dusty grief
which slowly becomes anger.

revenge!
she plots the revenge.
the revenge that will kill her in the end,
return the smoldering embers of her heart
along with her body
to ashes

ashes to ashes. dust to dust
some things never die
some pain doesnt ease
some hurts leave ugly scars
inside and out.

i'm sorry, miss havisham.
so sorry you couldnt be saved.
sorry i shall carry on a legacy
you hoped would be swept away
with the ashes, the dust
of your life.
