You stand there, staring at the face of death
Forgetting the light and leaving yourself deaf
Your soul is pierced with each word sent your way
Too much pain to handle any day,
Stuck here in this ditch
You hope that this beating in your chest is just a glitch
And pray to a God that doesn’t hear
You walk alone, this road of thorns
And find at the end a creature with horns
The mocking laughter, the low thrown blows
Don’t you even know?
That in this darkness, theres a light to be found
Its not too far away, but it’ll leave you safe and sound
The voices are deafening, the voices are real
Here is your final choice, will you stand against or kneel?
