Holding him in my arms
thunder radiating between our ears
a car passes, hearing a subtle splash nearby.
We’re dancing in the rain
and I’ve never felt so glorious
my arms around his neck
his wrapping my waist
and our only music is drops of the sky crashing into the ground.
I kiss him hard
he runs his fingers through my soaked hair
and I fall to the ground
his attempt to catch me fails
Sits next to me,
I look up, tears flooding my eyes,
large sobs escaping my trembling lips
He’s worried
holds my face begs me to tell him what my misery is
I take a breath
“I love…you. I..I can’t lose you…”
The wind picks up and he kisses me
takes my hand
and walks me to the car.
“I love you,” He whispers, as he kisses my temple.
