Sure, you might of stitched my heart back together
And you might of promised that it will last forever,
But then you turned your back
And with that little gesture left a little crack..
Why.
I waited for your arrival
But you never came and therefore left me in denial.
The crack deepened and punctured through my heart.
I laid there and cried as it fell apart.
Slowly breaking away..
It seems as if I would decay.
Why aren't I then?
Because my shattered heart is piecing itself together again
In hopes of getting rid of the pain.
What a silly heart.
Thinking that love will again do its kind part.
Yet I dream on and wait.
