Do Not Spare My Heart

I cannot still these thoughts of you,

so I ask you to do something you would never do,

I want you to leave me again you see,

but this time make it clear that we can never be,

crush my heart today if you must,

tear it out and stomp it into the dust,

make sure that my love for you is gone,

tell me all of the things I did wrong,

give me no love that I know is not real,

give me reason to truly feel,

as I need no more memories to keep me awake,

force me to realize that this love was fake,

don't allow me to live with these dilusions,

don't force upon me bitter-sweet illusions,

I can no longer bear this pain in my heart,

If you can tell me goodbye it would be a good start,

and they say man must suffer for his art,

so please my lost love,

Do Not Spare My Heart.
