Winter Wonderland

Poetry By: Eraser

It snowed here yesterday and these are some pictures a friend took while we were out for a walk.

Snow blankets all

like confectionary sugar -

a fantasy land.

Hydrants are toadstools;

we walk on the clouds.

The light is different,

whiter, brighter.

The day is quiet,

sound swallowed

in a blanket of powder.

The road is still dark.

But for awhile

at least

We are in a different land.
