The Bridge

The creaking boards
The rotting grain
The cobwebs slung
And insects slain
And spiders hunkered
On their floss
The wood infused
With dust and moss
And green the trees
That cast their shade
Along the brown
And moulding jade
The bridge was old
Yet held it's own
Hanging tween
Two worlds, alone.
