Ever seen the road
As a thoughtless lie
Never to behold
What I said to you
Ever see what I see
As though im not here
Ever know what I hate
Even as we debate
I know you can run
Run away from me
And never look back
At what we had
But If I know you
And you know me
We will be free
Singing songs of a life
A world lost in the past
A life I missed living
A life I forgot

I like it, it does bounce around a bit, but I get the general message of it. I like it, it's cool, very free flowing.:D

Thanks! I thouht so too! :)

I like the whole stream of consciousness thing you have going here. It makes the poem seem so natural, wihtout a complex rhyme scheme or specific rhythm; juts pure emotion, the way poetry should be.

Thanks. You really captured it. I wasn't thinking at all when I wrote it. Thanks!

togetherness is desired yet difficult to keep up with. this idea expressed in blank verse, brings it out effectively. kutgw. ;-)

great poem eternal night! i liked this one muchly... it had this very relaxing and free flow to it. though the last lines... they kind of sharpen the tone. "a life i forgot" it kind of makes this turn in the tone. at least, thats how i interpreted it.
keep up the great writing!! :)

Thanks! I always kind of tend to sharpen at the end of poems, don't know hwy. :)

I agree with Alice Oiseau, the sharpened tone at the end. It's a really nice effect, I like this poem. Certainly does show a lot of emotion =]
