The Misery

The moonless night,
the lack of stars in the sky.
Paying homage to my loss,
they all mourn what I've lost.
The silence is eerie,
it gives me the chills.
I try to weep,
but the tears won't come.
The heart is clenched,
while the body goes numb.
There's feeling still,
confirming i'm not entirely dead.
What am I to do?
How to cope with the dread?
I come undone,
of my own free will.
My doom advances,
no longer can I run.
