Maybe we could

Poetry By: EwanMac

very much pushing my luck with you guys. No planning went into this one I just sort of spat it out so forgive the fact its not exactly a typical Ewanmac piece. Just how I'm feeling about a certain person at the moment.

I remember when I met you first,
what a conversation that was.

Standing in kitchens,
making each other laugh.

I saw you again,
no "hello" was passed.

One night of friendship,
it was fun.

But I want more,
when I see you,
I bite my tongue,
to avoid seeming foolish.

Barking up the wrong tree,
I remain silent.

In my mind we speak,
acting foolish is no folly.
We have each other.

So speak to me one day,
or maybe I'll be the brave one?

Maybe I'll say,
"Wow your hair looks great,
I like it short, some people don't"

Maybe you'll say,
"Gee thanks yours is pretty nice too"

Maybe then we'll kiss?

Maybe you will tell me all your secrets?
Maybe I will too?
Maybe we could call it love!

Silly, I know.
But maybe we could?
