Tags: Goodbye, Love

I wrote this poem for my friend who just lost the love of his life in a car accident just last night. :( R.I.P Angel. You'll be missed.

I remember the day he looked me in the eyes,
He spoke of when the girl he loved walked away with a single goodbye.
I could do nothing but watch as he tried to hold back the pain.
The tears he tried to strain quickly began to pour like rain.
Holding him tightly against my chest I began to softly cry.
"Why.. Why did she have to leave me!?"
Closing my eyes tightly as he mourned I gently whispered,
"It was merely her time to leave... This is way things have to sometimes be."
Gray clouds quickly covering the blue skys.
My heart sank as I tried to help him say goodbye.

Love is sometimes like a deadly poison injected into our body.
Once it spreads you'll never get rid of it.
Sometimes love can bring joy and sometimes it can bring deadly pain.
Through life were going to experience these emotions,
Even if it something we do not wish to feel.
To those who have lost their loved ones..
It is Okay to cry, it is okay to remember the good memories..
It is Okay to remember every cherished moment.
It is Okay to remember the emotions and love you held for them.
Never lose hope because you'll one day meet them again.
In the purest dawn.
