From the kingdom where I came from...

Poetry By: fictionista
Poetry

I wish I could go back to my childhood. Where sadness meant not getting to play and heart break meant not getting to watch my favourite cartoon.

From the kingdom where I came from,

I had known a happy song, that I always sang.

From the kingdom where I came from,

My feet had known the steps to a beautiful dance.

From the kingdom where I came from,

I once had a habit of smiling a genuine smile.

From the kingdom where I came from,

All day was play and all night was a dream.

From the kingdom where I came from,

I had grown out of it one day.

From the kingdom where I came from,

I do not fit any longer there.

From the kingdom where I came from,

I had knitted a beautiful childhood that I cannot wear any longer....
