Today is a holy day.
Outside my window I see a bright clear sky,
With a wind blowing gently through the branches of the trees, making the leaves chase each other across the ground.
The traffic trundles past on the road, people making their way to who knows where.
A church, work, a celebration of two lives joining, a life departing, or a new life beginning.
Or home.
People cycle past my window, joyfully laughing, shouting, feeling the wind on their faces. Loving the thrill.
Just for a moment forgetting.
Birds saw through the heavens, elsewhere, water flows, forests grow,
People smile, tears are dried,
Friendships are made, hatred dies.
The world spins round, knew love is found,
Sunlight or starlight brightens the earth.
If we looked, every day we would see,
Somewhere there is a holy moment,
Just like this.
