Oh the late night silence,
As I sit here alone.
Suddenly it reminds me of you,
How I miss you so.
I long for you to hold my hand and talk to me, anything to hide the solitary sound
Of the clock ticking on the wall.
I long to lie in your arms and fall
Asleep. I wouldn't have to dream.
I'd love to lie awake with you until the dawn,
Laugh until our sides ache once more.
I'd love to check the time and wonder,
How we talked so much.
I'd love to close my eyes, smiling,
Then think of more "random stuff."
As my mind fils with memories of you.
I long for you to hold me close and talk to me, anything to hide the solitary sound
Of the clock ticking on the wall.
I long to sleep in your arms and fall,
In love. For that I never had to dream.
