How can I put into words, all that you have done?
This is just a small poem, small just like you, but the best things come in small packages.
Your smiles and your laughter is in all of our minds.
Thank you for helping us look on the bright side of life.
Tears fill our eyes because we miss you and you lost the fight.
But you were a fighter.
In ways, you won your war, you got it right.
You are an example to us all.
You were in pain so what did you do?
You smiled, and made us smile to.
When you were sad, what did you say?
A new joke for every animal, a worse joke every day.
First thing in the morning you asked us for maths questions, you didn't make a fuss.
We would have told you if you got them right, but it was to early for us.
Every evening, I heard you singing,
Or, if you were really happy, being a chicken.
I REMEMBER YOU, ALWAYS DANCING, THEY CALLED YOU THE QUEEN DANCER.
Too soon you danced away from life.
But I know you'd want us to think of you happy.
You'll live on in our memories,
You'll laugh on in our hearts.
Your smile will light up our minds,
As you dance among the stars.
