What good is a day empty of voice?
What good is a night imprisoned behind this chain linked fence?
What good is a morning silently sleepwalking?
What good is an afternoon wishing and waiting?
What good is the rain refusing to fall?
What good is the sun forgetting to shine?
What good is a half-hearted breeze failing,
To blow away memories of the ruined seasons?
What good is a body without a mind?
What good is a fighter refusing to fight?
What good is a love forbidden to grow?
What good is a ghost unable to die?
What good is a river afraid to run?
What good is a prison with an innocent victim?
What good are words that will never be spoken?
What good are hearts that will always be broken?
