I find your thumb print
smudged against your click tab judgment
i guess a thank you note
for a poem well written-
what inspired you the most
the fact that it was short
or spoken mostly in prose?
could you clarify to lullaby
my inquisitive mind
with what Freudian slip
I have entwined?
how could you condemn
a poem to a death sentence
before inquiring with preventative measures.
put behind bars volleyed by likes and dislikes
gently on display
to be paraphrased.
what lipstick confession
has become such an obsession
it causes the finger to linger.
click its over another love letter marked return to sender.
was it truly read
or have they surrendered
their eyes to the shadowed of the words
at least for the best click yes
redeeming the false pretenses
left in its sentence.
a critic be then perhaps
a biography
of what one within has seen or not seen
for a dream to some
can be obscene
ant yet fray the fine line between.
dear pretender
may your eyes not venture
to the button which likes
but find one cul de sac
back to the titles
and ask yourself
would you want a rebuttle
from someone who has shuffled
through the depths of literary anarchy
and returned unscathed-
only to say i liked it
what's the point.
