sometimes happy tears crystallize and refuse to fall when it's appropriate.

to the face too masculine to shed-

forming glass agate, a widow

still mined from the head.

their tiny whispers are panned

yet their fate is unplanned

forming nonconformity below

as though eyes have bled

leaving claymation hollow-

against the sun unmanned

they glow against uncharted sand.
