The rays of the sun rip forcefully through the silky black,
Peering down over the world as the dawn breaks.

The gentle hands of Helios touching the land,
his loving light gracing the flowers.

A small rose, nestled into its thorny home,
Buried deep, and far from light.

Then, like a gift from God, the sun broke through,
And the rose came forth, greeting the day with its soft folds.
