INHALE, EXHALE
You are the warmth I inhale,
And the passion I exhale.
Without you, there is no me,
Pieces of a puzzle yet to be.
An opus without a chorus.
A melody that needs to be sung,
A beggar waiting to be hung.
Accused of having loved and lost,
Heart on the sleeve, a dire cost.
A love maligned, flawed by design.
A rose without its thorn,
Mother tending to her firstborn.
You are my life’s essence,
I need you in my presence.
Rotting away, too late to pray.
Every day I call your name,
It keeps me from going insane.
Grab my hand and pull me back,
I’m a train wreck, set me on track.
Crash and burn the affection I yearn.
Please spare me the pain,
I love not in vain.
You are my all, my Atlantis,
I’d give my life for your kiss.
Life’s desperation, love’s inspiration.
I bleed my emotions out,
Turned frigid in an icy drought.
Awakened from slumber by your fire,
Given refuge in your warm desire.
Rapture, save me from this torture.
