Not conforming to society...my only poem that doesn't rhyme

I see things differently than you
You see geen leaves and clear skies
I see brown water and black ice
You see their money and their clothes
I see through their eyes and past their souls
You see the smiles that they fake
I see the tears that fall down their face
You see the good
I see how it could be better

I hear differently than you
You only hear what you want to
I hear it all
You hear the "I love yous"
I hear the screaming too
You hear their shallow laughter
I hear their desperate cries
You hear well done
I hear nice try...........do better

I think differently than you
You think you know
I think I am beginning to understand
You think you're right
I think I never cared for what you know
You think it's impossible
I think it is plausible
You think you're the best at what you do
I think someone is always better than you

I give myself differently than you
You give your insults and betrayal
I give my mercy and trust
You give your reasons why
I give my explanations why not
You give your words and lies
I give my time and help
You give your mind
I give my heart

I am different from you
You please yourself
I hold myself in others content
You place yourself as number one
I put everyone before me
You say things you'll never mean
I mean everything I say
You are ignorant and naive
I search for what I do not know

I am different from you
This makes me content
That is how I prize myself
And I would not have it any other way
