Hot off the Press

Poetry By: foldingover

While scimming though my little book of random thoughts I keep, I stumbled upon this. I figured it was a work in progress (and still may be). I liked it though as is and decided to share.
Reading it now, I have no idea what I was intending for this to mean. My interpretation of it as I read it is, dwelling on old news, everyone getting wrapped up in the headlines. I'm not sure if there was an event the inspired this writing or not... Regardless I like it. Again, open for suggestions and your input. Thank Yuou & Enjoy!
(I think the summary is longer than the actual poem)...

Why dwell on yesterday's paper

When today's is on your step

Rolled and wrapped in plastic

Thrown by the arm of a first job

Building character.

The ads have since expired

The sales have all sold out

Positions are no longer vacant

The seekers are sought out

Comics have been laughed at

Puzzles have been solved

Though the news is no longer new

You still remain enthralled.
