Why did you

Have to die?

You gave me wings

You made me fly

 

You were a light

You were my friend

It made me cry

That your life had to end

 

But wherever you are

I hope you’re happy

An angel in heaven

Or a new born baby

 

But until I feel

Your loving gaze

My world will be full of sadness

My mind a maze

 

I even want to hear

Your boring stories of men

And what I would give

To see you smile again

 

But that’s not so

But maybe one day

Just right now

I can’t keep my tears at bay

 

Many tears

Come tumbling

So for you

Ill do one more thing

 

Ill try to remember

All the good times

Not your blank stare

Or your breathalator mimes
