Fall Through The Crack

Poetry By: foreverhis
Poetry

Let the tears race

Salt in the wound

As they run down my face.

My heart is broken

Unbearable memories, a sad story

A door you closed was once open.

And so it begins

I can't do this anymore

Be just friends.

I'll just pull away

A little at a time

A little more everyday.

You won't care

Because you won't see

It's written in your empty stare.

Let the tears race

Salt in the wound

As they run down my face.

My heart is broken

Unbearable memories, a sad story

A door you closed was once open.

So I'll keep pulling away,

You'll let me go, but still

I'll pray you ask me to stay.

You'll realize I'm not coming back

Too little, too late

You'll have already let me fall through the crack.
