My memories are bittersweet
In my dreams, every night we meet.
Hazel eyes and tan skin,
You hold me close again.
I take you in as you claim my lips
Tall and sweet, make my heart do flips.
Your hand, warm in mine,
Kiss me, promise me forever and all time.
Walk me home, kiss me at the door.
Sigh and say there’s nothing more.
Throw my heart into the dirt,
You can’t imagine the hurt.
My heart was open
And you left it broken.
My alarm goes off,
Tears roll onto my pillow, silent and soft.
My memories are bittersweet
In my dreams we meet.
Hazel eyes and tan skin,
You break my heart again.
