Not Worth The Fight

Poetry By: foreverhis
Poetry

Maybe they were right.
Maybe I'm not worth the fight.
So I'll just let my darkness consume the light,
A horrifyingly beautiful sight.

Maybe they were right.

Maybe I'm not worth the fight.

So I'll just let my darkness consume the light,

A horrifyingly beautiful sight,

As I give up, as I give in,

No more pain, no not again,

As numbness washes over my skin.

They were right.

I'm not worth the fight.

Blade draws blood,

I watch my life pour out, feel my fading light,

The blood pools, almost like a flood.

The light never had a chance

As the dark swallows the light in their dance.
