** so im a little worried, this is my first attempt at lyrics.. so please be nice :)**

My dreams are better, I’d rather be snoozin’

Oh, but listen to the music!

Hear the guitar, must be an acoustic.

Let every note sink into my soul.

Let every strum fill every hole.

I just lay in bed and stare at the ceilin'

Let the music stop my mind from reelin'.

I long for the time when it was all simple.

I let the memories flood,

My feelings are as clear as mud.

My heart breaks again with a crack!

The music saves me, brings me back.

The time for heartache is over.

It's time to rebuild, for repair.

I'm not fixed yet but I'll get there.

I just lay in bed and stare at the ceilin'

Let the music stop my mind from reelin'.

My emotions are so confusin'

My mind I must be losin'

My dreams are better, I'd rather be snoozin'

Oh, but listen to the music!

Hear the guitar, must be an acoustic.

Let every note sink into my soul.

Let every strum fill every hole.

I just lay in bed and stare at the ceilin'

Let the music stop my mind from reelin'.

The music blocks out the mess.

The music dissolves my stress.

I let the lyrics tell me what's wrong.

Listen closely to every song,

And when it feels right, I sing along.

So I look up, stare at the empty ceilin'

Let the music stop my mind from reelin'.

The answer's in the beat.

The guitar's on fire,

Turn the volume up higher.

Music has the answer,

Ask any musician, any dancer.

So just lay in bed and stare at the ceilin'

Let the music stop your mind from reelin'.
