The fire rages
You can’t keep beasts in cages
(They’ve tried for ages)
The fire burns bright
The beast has no fright
(The beasts thrive in the night)
The fire rises
The beasts keep their eyes on all the prizes
(The beasts come in all sizes)
The fire will only destroy
The beast looks for a toy
(Their bloodlust is their joy)
The fire isn’t hating
The beasts are done waiting
(They begin their baiting)
The fire brings you to your knees
The beasts have been released
(Now they have you begging “please”)
The fire turns to embers
The beasts, they all remember
(How you shivered and shook in mid December)
