Choral Reform

By: Frederick Fontain

Page 1, A poem I\'ve written.

My tongue is encumbered
By the breath that I expire
As I recite a litany
To a discordant choir.
To anthropomorphize
My conscience, to give it the form
Of a clergyman who inculcates
A choral boy; reform
My creed and catechize
The choral boy whose throat's a mire
With the rue of a reprobate.
Sing an octave higher.
