I was a kid when I learnt this world werent brilliant,

A kid when I learnt schools are there to just keep us ignorant,

A kid when I learnt the feds were here to attack the innocent,

A kid when I lernt to think militant,

I was a kid when I learnt the government was my enemy,

A kid when I laernt standin up for yourself was a felony,

A kid wen I learnt coorporations wanted me to be a slave til Im 70,

When I learnt being considered a native in the country I'm born is something I'll never be,

I was a kid when I learnt democracies just another dictatorship,

A kid when I learnt that peaceful protest never changed shit,

A kid when I learnt that the news was racist,

A kid when I first asked the question “Why do we take this?”

I was a kid when I started to educate myself,

A kid when I started collecting books on my shelf,

A kid when I learnt the church was just after my wealth,

When I learnt to have these material things we oppress half the world,

I was a kid when I started 2 believe in revolution,

A kid when with anger I started fuming.

A kid when I learnt to be a nuisance

To the system as a kid through the movement,

I was a kid when I started to read Marx,

A kid when I stopped listening to most of the shit in the charts,

A kid when I saw the good in peoples harts,

A kid when I saw evil things tear my friends's lives apart,

I was a kid when I learnt where to point my hatred,

A kid when I learnt that a woman was sacred,

A kid when I realised the system we lived in was the matrix,

A kid when I realised we needed to brake it,

I was a kid when the truth got through 2 me,

A kid when I learnt the life I was living harmed my community,

A kid when I realised we need to change things for you and me,
