Lies,
The deadliest weapon.
The cause of broken hearts, of shattered lives.
They tumble from lips like snakes,
They scuttle over people, like spiders.
An unfaithful husband, lying to a wife,
Concealing the passionate encounters with a lover.
The smooth words of a killer, assuring no harm will come to
you,
Behind his back, he clenches a silver knife.
Lies.
So easy to tell, so hard to stop.
Weaving intricate webs of deceit.
Words smother lives like fog and
Tendrils cling to hearts.
