My body is wrecked

jagged corners make me

My heart acts like a thorn

hurt someone else to make me feel safe.

I have lost control

i no longer know who i am

I keep on searching, looking for me

the me before you

The uncontrolable urge to end it all

keeps getting stronger and stronger

consuming me all together

until only a shell is left

Your love kept me alive

your rejection made me terminal

I'll never be your rose again

only the thorn stuck in your side.

The darkness draws me in

i remember you, i remember me

finally, I give up the fight

and end it all with one kiss goodnight

poewhit is right, the last line comes very suddenly. I just kept thinking about what you had told me... about... experiences. There was a part that sent shivers up my spine; "hurt someone else to make me feel safe", i think we have all done that at one stage in our life. Its a pathetic defence that we have as humans.
I thought it was dark and beautiful... and i like dark and beautiful ;)
I cant get you out of my head now... this poem got me thinking about what you had told me...
Thanks for inviting me to read it, it was more than worth it.
