The Princess lies in her soft, warm bed
Her milky skin being kissed by the sun
She dreams of Princes and Fairy Tale Love
Her dreams filled with red rose pedals
But inside, her wounded heart cries out
The pain inflicted too great to bear
Oh how I wish I could heal her wounds
Comfort her heart and sooth her soul
Her auburn hair covers her pillow
Flowing like a waterfall
She turns and sways in her sleep
Nightmares taking control of her mind
Yearning for the Prince to save her
And sweep her up in his strong arms
If only she could see herself through my eyes
Gentle, loving, caring and honest
The love that she gives is selfless
Giving all she has to others
The Princess awakes to the beautiful morning
And stands by the window looking at The Lord’s work
And even in the storm of her life
She still sees the magnificent beauty
It won’t be long now, Princess
Before your Prince arrives
Sweeping you off your feet
And making you a Queen
Just hold on and be the person that you are
For that is enough for all of us
